The idea is to make decorations using round paper placemats (saucers, etc.). The basic model is that of the sunflower, stopping before the petal multiplication phase (to preserve the openwork parts). Points of attention : - create a first diameter, by bringing the circumference of a placemat edge to edge. - create a second diameter perpendicular to the first. - turn the sheet over - create the diagonal diameters using the bisectors of the existing angles (bring two consecutive mountain folds edge to edge). - continue by flattening each flap (beginning of the frog base). - fold the closed tip not to the edge of the fold, but in such a way that the fold remains in the non-openwork area. - turn the tip over by transforming the internal contours into mountain pleats. - fold the bottom of each flap (from the folded part). - open the heart and shape the petals. Variation Fold two placemats simultaneously, without taking them off. Once the folding is complete, we split each petal by reversing the valley fold into a mountain fold. |
