| Text | Some folds benefit from being embellished with relief bands which form a more or less
geometric decoration.
Two types of patterns can be used: - simple folds, which give relief on each side of the sheet; - symmetrical folds, which give relief on one side of the sheet and a slit on the other. You can create strips or folds parallel to the edges of the sheet, parallel to the medians or diagonals, or any. The bands can cross. Crossings can be used to add additional patterns. This type of process theoretically applies to any folding, then the sheet is then used as if it were simple. That being said, the best objects to decorate are boxes and vases, or certain decorations. |
