Text | To make this wreath, you will need four square sheets of paper, the same size.
Folding a module. 1. Take a square sheet of paper in the diamond position. 2. Create a valley fold by bringing the right middle vertex to the left middle vertex from right to left. Mark the fold well. We now have a triangular shape composed of two triangular flaps connected by a vertical hinge fold located on the left. 3. Rotate the fold so that the hinge fold is arranged horizontally, at the bottom of the model. 4. Create a valley fold by bringing the lower right tip from right to left over the lower left tip. Mark the fold well. Unfold 5. Locate the middle of the bottom hinge edge. The previous fold passes through this point. 6. Create a valley fold by bringing the lower right point from right to left to the midpoint that you have just identified. Mark the fold well. 7. Create a valley fold by bringing the lower left tip from left to right to the midpoint of the lower hinge side. It joins the point bent at the previous step. Mark the fold well. Unfold the two tips. We now have a triangular shape bordered by a hinge side. Three parallel valley folds are recognizable. In the middle of the shape there is a crease going through the top of the triangular shape. This fold is framed by two smaller folds located halfway between the middle fold and the lower left and right points. Crown assembly. 1. Arrange the four modules side by side, the hinge fold at the bottom and horizontal, the top at the top. 2. Take a first module with your left hand, open it slightly. 3. Take a second module with your right hand, slide the left tip into the first module using a movement from right to left. The hinge fold of the second module is pressed against the bottom of the opening of the first module. The lower left point of the second module must reach the middle fold of the first module, without going beyond it. If the second module is in place, the right vertical fold of the first module must coincide with the left vertical fold of the second module. 4. Reform the valley fold through the thicknesses of the two modules. 5. While keeping the first module closed as best as possible, partially open the second module with your left hand. 6. Take the third module with your right hand, slide the left tip into the second module using a movement from right to left. The hinge fold of the third module is pressed against the bottom of the opening of the second module. The lower left point of the third module must reach the middle fold of the second module, without going beyond it. If the third module is in place, the right vertical fold of the second module must coincide with the left vertical fold of the third module. 7. Reform the valley fold through the thicknesses of the two modules. 8. Take the fourth module with your right hand, slide the left tip into the third module using a movement from right to left. The hinge fold of the fourth module is pressed against the bottom of the opening of the third module. The lower left point of the fourth module must reach the middle fold of the third module, without going beyond it. If the fourth module is in place, the right vertical fold of the third module must coincide with the left vertical fold of the fourth module. 9. Reform the valley fold through the thicknesses of the two modules. All that remains is to close the crown. 10. Slide the left tip of the first module (it is free) into the right tip of the fourth module, using the same process as the three previous times. Reform the median valley fold well. |
