Text | This is a little-known fruit. Its delicate flesh is only eaten in winter, but it is a treat.
1. Start a base of the frog up to step 15. Hold it closed point at the top. 2. Raise the lower point of the front flap as high as possible using a valley fold from bottom to top. The fold passes through the middle left and right vertices of the shape. 3. Flip the fold from right to left. 4. Raise the lower point of the front flap as high as possible using a valley fold from bottom to top. 5. Rotate the right front flap from right to left onto the left front flap. 6. Flip the fold from right to left. 7. Rotate the right front flap from right to left onto the left front flap. 8. Raise the lower point of the front flap as high as possible using a valley fold from bottom to top. 9. Flip the fold from right to left. 10. Raise the lower point of the front flap as high as possible using a valley fold from bottom to top. We now have a triangular shape which is composed of two flaps on the left and two flaps on the right. 11. Create a valley fold by bringing the lower right corner of the right front flap from right to left on the vertical axis of the triangle. Unfold. 12. Bring the lower right corner of the right front flap to the vertical axis of the triangle by turning the valley fold into a mountain fold. 13. Create a valley fold by bringing the lower left corner of the left front flap from left to right on the vertical axis of the triangle. Unfold. 14. Bring the lower left corner of the left front flap to the vertical axis of the triangle by turning the valley fold into a mountain fold. 15. Flip the fold from right to left. 16. Create a valley fold by bringing the lower right corner of the right front flap from right to left on the vertical axis of the triangle. Unfold. 17. Bring the lower right corner of the right front flap to the vertical axis of the triangle by turning the valley fold into a mountain fold. 18. Create a valley fold by bringing the lower left corner of the left front flap from left to right on the vertical axis of the triangle. Unfold. 19. Bring the lower left corner of the left front flap to the vertical axis of the triangle by turning the valley fold into a mountain fold. The model has a small hole at its base. 20. Blow into the model to inflate it. To facilitate inflation, gently spread the sides of the fold. 21. Shape the flaps that appear around the hole. They form a chalice. This pretty fruit benefits from being folded in two-tone paper. The chalice will not be the same color as the fruit. |
