Text This model is an example of animated folding, that is to say that it can move oncefolded. It is very popular with children.

1. Start with a base of the bird. Place it with the two sharp points down.

2. Slide your left index finger inside the bottom left tip, at the height of the left vertex of the left triangle of the shape.
To do this, open the tip and place it almost flat.

3. With your thumb, raise the tip so as to turn it inside itself as high as possible. Mark the folds well.
The top edge of the reverse fold must be horizontal.

4. Slide your right index finger inside the bottom right point, at the height of the right vertex of the right triangle of the shape. To do this, open the tip and place it almost flat.

5. With your thumb, raise the tip so as to turn it inside itself as high as possible. Mark the folds well.
The upper edge should then be almost at 45¡.

6. Locate, along the tip that has just been inverted, a point that will allow you to tip the tip inside again, downwards, so that the end goes down slightly.
There is no real reference, it is a problem of proportion to constitute the head.

7. Mark all folds well.
To the left we have a sharp point which is the tail of the bird, to the right a broken point to make the neck and the beak of the bird and in the middle two free flaps.

8. Shape the two wings by rounding them.

9. Point the bird with its head to the right, wings up.
At the bottom of the body are two fairly thick spikes.

10. Grasp the lower front point between the thumb and index finger of your right hand.

11. Grasp the tail between the thumb and index finger of your left hand.

12. Move the tail back and forth from left to right. The bird begins to flap its wings.
